Course Overview

This qualification is designed to give you, through interactive role play, the underpinning knowledge and skills that will enable you to use counselling skills ethically and safely. It will not teach you to become a counsellor but will give you the skills that will be useful in a variety of roles, in either an employed or voluntary capacity. This qualification is suitable for people starting the first level of training as a professional counsellor, those wanting to learn counselling skills to use in other professional or helping roles, and those who want to improve their professional and personal relationships as part of personal development. This qualification could lead to increased employability for those whose role it is to support others, and provides additional skills that may lead to increased opportunities for promotion and advancement.
