Course Overview
This qualification is intended for candidates who want to train to work as professional counsellor in an agency setting. Successful completion of this course means that you will be able to provide a therapeutic counselling service within the context of a Counselling agency. The syllabus includes; Work: ethically and safely as an agency counsellor; within a counselling relationship; with client diversity; within a user-centred agency approach; with self-awareness in the counselling process; within a framework of counselling theory & skills; self-reflectively as an agency counsellor. Candidates must have achieved the CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills and CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies or their Recognised Prior Learning equivalent. You will also be required to have an interview with the course tutors prior to enrolling onto the course.
