Accidents are always looming around the corner, so it is good to know how to respond in case something happens. This 5-week basic first aid course aims to provide you and your child with the skills and confidence to handle minor injuries you or a loved one sustains at home.You will:
• Discuss the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• Learn how to respond when someone needs emergency first aid
• Demonstrate how to correctly manage specific injuries such as cuts, nosebleeds, sunburn, anaphylactic shock, etc.
• Practice CPR for adults and children
• Identify the content of a first aid kitPlease note that this is not a qualification course.
We are happy to welcome 1 adult and 1 child (5+) duos. All materials will be included, you only need to bring a pen and paper to make notes.This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply and learners will be expected to evidence this by showing ID, proof of address and proof of income. We will not retain copies of these documents.
