T-Levels are a new qualification pathway, aimed at 16–19-year-olds, which open a pipeline into higher education (university), a higher apprenticeship or employment. T-Levels are a fusion of apprenticeships and A-levels which include a mandatory work placement of between 315-700 hours (dependent on the subject chosen).
The main classroom-based element part of a T Level is where students will learn about their chosen sectors understand and underpinning theory knowledge to apply in the workplace.
Get a hands-on experience lasting a minimum of 45 days and will provide students practical insights into their sector to support the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom.
This is built into the classroom-based element and is there to ensure students have these transferable skills.
When you have completed a T-Level course, you will be able to choose between moving into:
A T-Level will help you to step into skilled employment, a higher apprenticeship or to university for higher education. T-Level’s will be worth UCAS points – a T-Level distinction* is worth the same as 3 three A-levels at A* - and will be recognised by universities and other education providers.
