Course Overview

We use maths every day — when we go shopping, look at bus times, or cook. Being confident with numbers can help make these everyday tasks easier by helping you understand money, make good choices, and solve everyday problems.

If you are a Supported Adult Learner (SAL) aged 19 or over, have learning disabilities, do not have an EHCP, and can work with numbers up to a hundred, this course is made for you.

This friendly and supportive course is designed to help you build on what you already know and develop your confidence with maths in everyday life.

You will look at things such as:

• Place value – understanding what each digit in a number means

• Calculations – practising adding, taking away, multiplying and dividing

• Real-life maths – using maths to help with everyday tasks like shopping or planning a journey

You will need

You only need a pen to make notes. All other materials will be provided for you.
