Course Overview

Music and movement can help you feel healthier, happier, and more connected to the people around you (BBC, n.d.; Smith, n.d.). This course offers a welcoming space to enjoy creativity while building confidence and improving wellbeing.

This course is for Supported Adult Learners (SAL) aged 19 or over, who have learning disabilities, do not have an EHCP, and would like to explore music, movement, and creativity in a supportive environment.

This confidence boosting course is full of fun, hands on activities that encourage self expression, and making new friends.

You will look at things such as:

• Following and maintaining a simple rhythm

• Creating your own instruments using recycled household items

• Discovering different music genres

• Trying simple choreographies

You will need

No musical experience is needed — just enthusiasm, a willingness to join in, and comfortable shoes and clothes.

To enrol

This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply. Learners will need to provide:

• ID

• proof of address

• proof of income upon enrolment.

A course fee is applicable if your income exceeds the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority or if you live outside Cambridgeshire.
