This course is for you if you are a Supported Adult Learner (SAL) aged 19 or over, who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, can comfortably walk approx. 3 miles and want to stretch yourself further.
Your tutor will take you on guided walks, and you will practise planning your own routes and choosing safe paths to follow. Along the way, you’ll build friendships, communicate with your peers, and explore how being outdoors supports both your physical and mental wellbeing.
What will you learn
You will look at things such as:
• Road safety
• Discussing how exercising and being outdoors support good mental health

Learners are advised to wear suitable clothing for the weather, sturdy footwear, and bring a water bottle.
