City College Peterborough Motor Vehicle Department Boosted by New Industry Partnership

The Motor Vehicle department at City College Peterborough has received a significant boost, thanks to an exciting new working partnership with Millfield Autoparts at the John Mansfield Campus (JMC).

The new partnership launched with a dedicated Trade Fair organised by Michael Davis of Millfield Autoparts, giving Motor Vehicle learners the opportunity to meet a wide range of automotive parts suppliers. The event enabled students to expand their technical knowledge, gain valuable industry insight, and make important contacts to support their future careers in the motor industry.

As part of the partnership, Millfield Autoparts has sponsored brand-new Motor Vehicle hoodies for learners, helping to build pride and a strong identity within the department. The collaboration has also opened up valuable work experience opportunities within the company, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in a real working environment.

Looking ahead, learners will visit Intermotor Group Ltd, where they will experience first-hand the development and production of performance engine parts, further strengthening their understanding of modern automotive engineering and manufacturing processes.
