Ready to build your confidence with technology? Whether you're completely new to computers or looking to refresh your skills, this friendly 5-week course is the perfect place to start.
Throughout the course, you'll learn the essentials of using a computer, from turning it on and navigating your way around with confidence, to exploring some of the most widely used digital tools in today's world. You'll be introduced to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, discover how to stay safe online, and even get a hands-on introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI).
With practical activities, supportive guidance, and plenty of opportunities to practise, you'll develop the confidence and skills needed to take your next steps in the digital world.
You will:
• Use a keyboard, mouse, and basic computer functions
• Explore Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoints
• Learn how to stay safe and secure online
• Discover Artificial Intelligence
• Practise essential digital skills for everyday life and work
• Build confidence with technology
All materials are provided. No experience is needed. Just bring yourself, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn!
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply and learners will be expected to evidence this by showing ID, proof of address and proof of income upon enrolment. We will not retain copies of these documents.
A course fee is applicable if your income exceeds the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
Once you've completed this course, you can continue your digital journey by joining our Digital Functional Skills course, where you can further develop and expand your knowledge.
