We use English skills every day – when we go shopping, make appointments or talk with friends, family or support staff. By improving your English skills, you will better understand information, make choices, stay safe and feel more confident and independent in daily life.
This course is for Supported Adult Learners (SAL) aged 19 or over, who have learning disabilities, do not have an EHCP, and would like to improve their basic English skills in a supportive environment.
This friendly and supportive course is full of fun, practical activities that will help you use English in everyday life.
You will look at things such as:
• Improving your handwriting
• Practising sentence writing
• Learning new words
• Visiting the library
You only need a pen to make notes. All other materials will be provided for you.
To enrol:
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply. Learners will need to provide:
• ID
• proof of address
• proof of income upon enrolment.
A course fee is applicable if your income exceeds the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority or if you live outside Cambridgeshire.
