We use numbers every day — when we shop, check the bus time, or make sure we get the right change. Understanding numbers can make life easier, and our SAL Math Warriors course will help you feel more confident.
If you are a Supported Adult Learner (SAL) aged 19 or over who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, and finds it hard to work with numbers up to 20 then this course is for you.
You will learn step by step in a friendly and supportive class.
You will look at things such as:
• Reading, writing and ordering numbers – understanding what numbers look like and how they go in order
• Place value – learning what each digit in a number means
• Counting with confidence
• Working with numbers up to 100 – moving from small numbers to bigger ones
• Adding and subtracting – using simple methods to solve number problems
You only need a pen to make notes. All other materials will be provided for you.
To enrol:
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply. Learners will need to provide:
• ID,
• proof of address
• proof of income upon enrolment.
A course fee is applicable if your income exceeds the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority or if you live outside Cambridgeshire.
