Course Overview

Discover the colours, textures and treasures of the coast as you explore a range of arts and crafts inspired by the seaside. Using both traditional craft resources and natural items found by the shore — including shells, sand and stones — you’ll experiment with different techniques to create your own unique pieces.

This course is for you if you are a Supported Adult Learner (SAL) aged 19 or over, who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, and would like to enjoy the wellbeing benefits of creativity.

It offers a calm, friendly space to express yourself, build confidence and enjoy creative exploration, supported by a patient, encouraging teacher who provides clear, step by step guidance and adaptable projects for every learner.

You will look at things such as:

• Using different craft techniques to create your own seaside‑inspired artworks

• Working with a range of materials, including natural seaside items

• Sharing ideas and working alongside others in a supportive group
