Course Overview

Accidents are always looming around the corner, so it is good to know how to respond when things do go a little bit wrong. This 4-week basic first aid course aims to provide you with the skills and confidence to handle minor injuries you or a loved ones sustain at home.Please note that this course does NOT qualify you as a first aider. To become a qualified first aider, you will need to complete a recognised qualification course. The college offers the one-day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work which allows you to become an emergency first aider at work.You will learn amongst other things: Which parts are essential for a first aid kit How to conduct a call to the emergency services CPR Treatment of minor injuries such as cuts, choking, bleeding, etc.

You will need

All materials will be provided. You only need to bring pen and paper to make notes. This course is being funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply.
