Course Overview

This course is to help develop your sewing skills further e.g. collars, concealed zip, piping, sleeves, placket, cuffs and pockets. You will have learnt a variety of new skills within dressmaking and achieved a well finished garment you’ll be proud of! You will be taken through each part of the process to make your chosen garment with the aid of the tutor and the garment instructions. Help will be given to read the pattern instruction and adjust the pattern size if needed. In the course we will cover: How to take accurate measurements, how to read a pattern and follow instructions, how to apply a seam allowance, zip, buttonhole, waistband, and hem.

You will need

Provide your own pattern, material, cottons, and equipment. Any garment pattern of your choice with the requirements of the pattern including dressmaking scissors, needle etc.
