Five Cities III

An overview of Britain’s history told through the stories of five cities including: Dublin: founded in the 9th century by Danish ‘Vikings’ which was to become Ireland's principal city, Gloucester: a former Roman colony, of great significance in the Middle Ages and into the modern era and Carlisle: a place inhabited by the Carvetii tribe before the Romans came to these isles and became of strategic importance on the Anglo-Scottish border.
