Course Overview

A course designed to develop skills achieved through completion of Level 1 Health and Social Care.

A range of topics including:

  • Investigating Rights and Responsibilities at Work
  • Managing your health at work
  • Health and Social Care needs
  • Promoting healthy eating in care
  • Personal care in Health and Social Care
  • Communication with adults and children in Health and Social Care
  • Learning experiences for children and young people
  • Creative activities for children and adults.

Course Requirements:

  • 4 GCSE Grade D or above qualifications or a Level 1 qualification
  • Level 1 English and maths
  • An interest in the subject.

Industry standards/Occupational requirements needed to work within the care industry:

  • A DBS check will be needed to work within the care industry
