The aim of this course is to develop knowledge and understanding of key areas when working in the adult social care sector. You will cover: • The importance of communication in adult social care, ways to overcome barriers, and issues around confidentiality, including recording, storing, and sharing information appropriately. • Standards and regulations that influence the role of the adult social care worker. • The importance of anti-discriminatory practices in social care and relevant legislation. • Different types of abuse and action to take if abuse is suspected or alleged.This course can be fully funded by the Local authority, depending on your personal income and prior attainment.
