The aim of this course is to develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles of caring for people with dementia:You will cover: • What is meant by dementia and the different forms it can take. • What person-centred approaches means and how it relates to caring for those with dementia. • Some of the different factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia. • Equality, diversity, and inclusion in dementia care. • The use of medication using a person-centred approach. • Some of the behaviours that people with dementia may display. • The benefits of engaging in activities for someone with dementia.
