Course Overview

The purpose of this qualification is to increase learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health.By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of:• children and young people’s mental health in context • mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people • the impact of mental ill-health on children and young people • support available to maintain mental wellbeing in children and young people.This course can be fully funded by the Local authority, depending on your personal income and prior attainment. Please enquire for further details. This qualification is suitable for anyone looking to increase their knowledge of children and young people’s mental health. Learners will submit their workbooks via an online portfolio and these will be internally assessed by their tutor. You will need

A good level of English will also be required in order to effectively complete workbooks You must also be aged 19 or over on the 31st August at the start of the academic year to be eligible. This is a knowledge based qualification so it is not a requirement to be working within the Health and Care sector already
