By restoring an old drop-in chair, you will build your confidence in using basic mathematical concepts and learn a new skill at the same time. Our expert tutor will take you through the satisfying process of renovating your own chair over the course of 6 weeks.
Please note, there will be no lesson on 19 February.
You will:
• Strip down the chair and prepare it to be restored
• Wax or paint the frame
• Use modern upholstery materials and techniques to restore the seat
• Reassemble the chair
• Apply basic mathematical concepts to calculate the required measurements and the costs involved.
All materials will be provided.
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply and learners will be expected to evidence this by showing ID, proof of address and proof of income. We will not retain copies of these documents.
