Unleash your creativity while sharpening your numeracy skills and transforming your living space with handmade home décor! In this hands-on course, you’ll craft several stylish and practical decorations, including a custom lamp shade, and a no-sew cushion. As you work through each project, you'll apply essential math concepts such as measurements, counting, and budgeting. By the end of the course, you'll have gained both practical crafting and numeracy skills, empowering you to create beautiful, personalized pieces for your home!
You will:
• Budget for simple, cost-effective crafts to create a cosier home.
• Follow instructions to make a variety of home decorations such as a no-sew cushion and lampshade using different techniques.
• Explore the art of ragging.
• Practise basic mathematical concepts whilst creating your personalised decorations including measuring, counting, using shapes, etc.
There will be no lesson on 9 & 16 April.
All materials will be provided except the base of the lampshade.
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. To ensure eligibility, learners must provide valid ID, proof of address, and proof of income. Please note that while these documents will be reviewed, no copies will be retained. If you have previously completed a Multiply course, you will not be eligible to enrol in this program.
