Course Overview

Maths can be a daunting topic for children. However, as the National Numeracy (2019) states “mathematicians are made, not born”. Even though things may have changed since you were at school, it shouldn’t be a barrier for you to help your child with their maths homework. During this free course, our tutor Angie, a former primary school teacher, will walk you through the current teaching methods that are used in primary schools to teach your child maths. You will: • Be shown how your child is taught addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. • See how these strategies become more complex as your child progresses.National Numeracy. (2019). The debate about a ‘maths gene’. Consulted from The debate about a ‘maths gene’ | National Numeracy.
