This intermediate/advanced course is designed for people who have some experience of working with clay and would like to develop their skills in line with working on their own projects. Please note: there may be some height and size restrictions to the items that can be made and fired. This is an unstructured class that offers learners the space to work on and explore their own personal projects under the guidance of an experienced tutor.
Course Information:
At the end of the course any pieces of work that are unfinished and unfired will need to be taken home, or it will be disposed of at the end of the academic year. Completed but unfired work will be first fired (Bisque) by the tutor. You will be notified when it is ready for collection. Any uncollected work will be disposed of within 3 months from the notification the work is ready for collection. Glazed and completed work will need to be taken home by the end of the course.
For learners that are returning to college the following term:
Learners unfinished work will be stored ready for the next term. Learners must take responsibility for ensuring their work is wrapped, named and stored appropriately, especially over the summer break. Learners finished work must be taken home by the end of the course unless otherwise agreed with the tutor.
