Are you a supported adult learner (SAL) aged 19 or over who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, and you want to help others in your local community? If you answered yes, our SAL Gain Confidence to Volunteer & Help course is just what you need!
This course will support you feel more confident meeting new people, working in a team and trying new things which will help you get ready for a volunteering experience.
You will, for example:
• Improve your social skills by working together as part of a team
• Know where to find volunteering opportunities
• Practice applying for a volunteering position
• Try a variety of volunteering opportunities in the local community for example volunteering at Flag Fen

This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply which learners will be expected to evidence by
providing ID, proof of address and proof of income upon enrolment.
A fee will only be applicable if you’re income is over the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
After completing this course, you can move into a volunteering opportunity of your choice, discuss with your tutor to move onto one of our other SAL courses such as SAL Once Upon a Story or SAL Click, Create, Connect or arrange an appointment with one of our career advisors.
