SAL Get Confident to Volunteer

Our experienced team from our SAL Get Confident to Volunteer course will support you to build your confidence to interact with others and develop your skills to maintain relationships. Using a variety of confidence-building activities, you will be prepared and encouraged to participate in discussions, fundraising activities and even try one or two volunteering activities in the local community when you are ready. This course is aimed at Supported Adult Learners (SAL)(19+) with learning disabilities who do not have an EHCP.You will: • work as part of a group and express your ideas and opinions. • make decisions and socialise with others in different situations. • help nominate people to interview and work together with others to create questions for them. • help to choose, plan and run an event to raise money for charity. • learn about opportunities for volunteering in the local community. • take part in a volunteering activity in the local community.
