We use maths daily whether we’re shopping, checking bus timetables or decorating. Feeling confident with numbers helps you better understand your finances and solve problems.
So, if you are a Supported Adult Learner (SAL)aged 19 or over who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, can work with numbers in the hundreds or more and want to improve your numeracy skills further, this course is for you!
This friendly and supportive course is designed to help you build on what you already know and develop your confidence with maths in everyday life.
You will look at things such as:
• Understanding place value (what each digit in a number means)
• Practising a range of calculations
• How to apply mathematical thinking to real-world situations

This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. To ensure eligibility, learners must provide valid ID, proof of address, and proof of income. Please note that while these documents will be reviewed, no copies will be retained.
A fee will only be applicable if you’re income is over the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
After completing this course, you can discuss with your tutor to move onto one of our other SAL courses or see if you’re ready to progress onto a Functional Skills Maths or GCSE Maths course.
