Course Overview

Are you a supported adult learner (SAL) aged 19 or over who has learning disabilities, does not have an EHCP, and would like to be more independent at home? If you answered yes, our SAL My Home & Me course is just what you need!

You will build your confidence and skills to manage everyday tasks around your home by gaining practical experience in our onsite flat which will help you to be more independent.

You will for example:

• Discuss a variety of cleaning products

• Identify which cleaning product to use for which task

• Use a washing machine safely with help

• Read washing labels

• Get tips on communicating effectively with the people around you

This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply which learners will be expected to evidence by

providing ID, proof of address and proof of income upon enrolment.

A fee will only be applicable if you’re income is over the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
