You use English every day when you talk to people, read signs or instructions, fill in forms or want to learn something new. This friendly course helps you get better at English by writing short stories. You will have fun learning and using your imagination.
This course is for Supported Adult Learners (SAL) aged 19 or over who have learning disabilities, do not have an EHCP, and want to get better at reading, writing, speaking and listening.
What will you learn
You will for example:
• Learn new words
• Talk about pictures and what might be happening
• Listen to other people’s ideas
• Write a few sentences with help
• Work on your spelling, punctuation and grammar.

This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. To ensure eligibility, learners must provide valid ID, proof of address, and proof of income. Please note that while these documents will be reviewed, no copies will be retained.
A fee will only be applicable if you’re income is over the threshold set by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
After completing this course, you can discuss with your tutor to move onto one of our other SAL courses or see if you’re ready to progress onto our SAL Fiction Addiction course.
