Explore basic scientific ideas and concepts by doing fun experiments under expert guidance. You will research concepts such as friction by building a mini hovercraft, the strength of shapes by attempting the engineering challenge, and so much more. This course is aimed at Supported Adult Learners (SAL)(19+) with learning disabilities who do not have an EHCP.
You will:
• Discover basic scientific ideas and concepts.
• Develop a scientific approach to problem-solving.
• Use basic maths skills to do the experiments.
• Use correct terminology to describe observations.
An inquisitive nature to learn more about the world around you. All other materials will be provided.
This course is funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Eligibility criteria apply which learners will be expected to evidence by
providing ID, proof of address and proof of income upon enrolment.
