Course Overview

This course will look at basic stitching techniques used to adjust hems of a garment, repairing buttonholes and replacing of a zip. These techniques will be a combination of both hand sewing and the use of a sewing machine. This course gives an insight into dressmaking leading onto further courses that we offer including Dressmaking for beginners and intermediates.

Please note for our Saturday taster sessions there is no concessions for over 60’s

You will need

For this taster sessions you will use sewing machines provided by us. If you would like to bring any of your own clothing and accessories e.g. zips, that need repairing (button, zip or hemming repairs) you are able to. Otherwise, materials will be provided.
