Do you have a beloved piece of furniture that needs a fresh new look? Our hands-on Upholstery Workshop is the perfect opportunity to bring it back to life! Whether you're reupholstering, upcycling, or updating, this course will guide you through the process step by step.
You’ll learn:
How to carefully strip away old upholstery using specialised tools
Cleaning, basic wood repairs and waxing or painting show wood
Traditional and modern upholstery methods tailored to your project
This workshop is designed for all skill levels, allowing you to work at your own pace on your chosen piece. Beginners are encouraged to start with a simple project, such as a footstool or dining chair.
What We Provide:
Basic upholstery tools for use during the course
A selection of upholstery materials available for purchase from the tutor, alternatively you can bring your ow.
Storage facilities if you'd like to leave your project between sessions
A box of 48mm upholstery pins (available for purchase from the tutor on the first session)
A dust sheet to cover your project
An apron to protect your clothes
A pen and notepad to document your progress
