We were delighted to open our post last week, to find that we had received a lovely card thanking us and the community for creating our wonderful quilt to mark his Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla's Coronation.
The quilt was made up of 320 squares of fabric, contributed to by communities from across the UK. We asked schools, businesses and the community of Peterborough, to send in personalised 20cm by 20cm squares of stitchable fabric.
Contributors were asked to decorate their squares with designs associated with royalty, the King, their local community or simply something personal to themselves.
The community quilt measured a whopping six metres long and went on display at Peterborough Cathedral and other schools and organisations across the county.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us to create this amazing piece of history!
